Description
In this six week course you will take your handbuilding skills to the next level! This class is perfect for both beginners looking to explore whats next after pinch pots, and more experienced handbuilders wanting to extend their skills and explore exciting new techniques. You will learn how to carve Japanese Kurinuki vessels, build sculptural forms with soft slabs, and play with a range of new decorating techniques while implementing design process into your practice.
Using these techniques you will create a range of forms, varying from functional ware to sculptural pieces. Each class will have a maximum of 10 students and at the completion of the course students will have their own decorated and glazed work to take home and use.
The cost of this course includes one bag of clay, use of tools, firing, and all materials for decorating and glazing. Our pottery supply shop stocks a wide variety of products should you wish to explore further, and staff are always happy to help guide you.
Please bring along your own towel and apron. Covered shoes are essential.
