Are your children looking for some school holiday fun and creativity?
In this 1 hour activity children (aged 5-14)* will learn how to create their own unique plate. Under the guidance of our experienced tutor, children will learn how to roll out a sheet of clay using a rolling pin and how to press this sheet into a mould, creating a plate form. Children will then have the opportunity to decorate their plates using a range of coloured slips and textured elements. This is an opportunity for young children to explore and play with clay, developing their skills to match their imagination. Plates will be clear glazed and fired by NPS staff and ready for collection within 2-3 weeks. Parents and guardians will be emailed when work is ready for collection. Parents and guardians are welcome to stay during the activity or can enjoy a coffee or tea on Lygon Street, a short stroll away. This class will have a maximum of 10 students.
Children’s Make a Plate (1 hour duration) $40 per person, maximum 10 participants.
Please bring along an apron and towel for your children. Covered shoes are essential in the studio.
*Please note that 5 years is the minimum age requirement for children attending this class.
