In this brand new six week course explore the magical world of surface decoration and texture! Learn amazing new techniques to make your work come to life, and create a range of test tiles and finished pieces to take home and treasure. Over the six weeks you will explore carving stamps, sgraffito, Mishima inlay, marbling, bubbling, 3D texture and additions, faceting, frills and more!
This course is perfect for both complete beginners and experienced potters looking to step up their decoration skills.

Course Outline
Week 1: Creating Test Tiles and moulding your own stamps
Week 2: Stencilling, Sgraffito and Mishima inlay
Week 3: Marbling with shaving foam, Bubble Underglaze Underglaze pouring and swirling & Toothbrush splatter
Week 4: 3D surface texture subtractive and additive, Faceting/carving/scooping/
Begin building own pieces and projects.
Week 5: Individual project work
Week 6: Post bisque decoration and glazing.

The cost of this course includes all clay, tools, firing, and materials for decorating and glazing. Our pottery supply shop stocks a wide variety of products should you wish to explore further, and staff are always happy to help guide you.
Please bring along your own towel and apron. Covered shoes are essential.
